The Bay Hotel, Cullercoats, England, where Winslow Homer first lodged when he arrived in Cullercoats in 1881, was demolished in May 2005, and has been replaced with a block of
luxury flats. The new development has been named "Winslow Court" to reflect the connection with Winslow Homer.
